Likewise, its employees are obligated to ensure that all of its officers, employees, and directors adhere to this Code.<br>Persons who, in the future, join XHSMA-FM as collaborators, its officers, employees and directors, will expressly accept the entire content of this Code of Ethics and, in particular, the objective principles and values established therein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CHAPTER IV<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>GENERAL PRINCIPLES<br>Broadcasters in matters of information are obliged to:<br>\u2022 Inform the public in an accurate, comprehensive, and impartial manner about important events and issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Present news and information without distortion. Interviews may be edited as long as the meaning is not changed or distorted.<br>\u2022 Broadcasters&#039; newsrooms must adopt measures to ensure the<br>authenticity of all video and audio, including informational material acquired from the public,<br>freelance reporters and other sources, before disseminating it.<br>\u2022 Recognize errors quickly and correct them.<br>\u2022 Treat people who are subjects of the news with decency and sensitivity, especially<br>When dealing with children, strive for polite and considerate behavior, gathering information as discreetly as possible.<br>\u2022 Avoid distorting the nature or significance of events.<br>\u2022 Clearly distinguish editorial contributions and comments from the information context.<br>\u2022 Ensure that your transmissions remain within the limits of respect for privacy,<br>to personal dignity and morality, and do not attack the rights of third parties, nor provoke<br>committing any crime or disturbing public order and peace.<br>Radio should be a responsible space for information, entertainment, culture, and coexistence.<br>Broadcasters are obliged to heed the recommendations of the Audience Ombudsman.<br>will name the station XHSMA-FM and must coordinate with it to address complaints or observations from the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CHAPTER V<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>INFORMATION PROCESSING<br>\u2022 Content must be free of bias. All currents of thought must be adequately represented. However, being impartial does not mean refraining from legitimate editorial positions. Media outlets should distinguish, to the extent possible, information from opinion and advertising or propaganda.<br>\u2022 The public must be informed in a clear, precise and exhaustive manner, citing the source and<br>respecting copyright at all times.<br>\u2022 The facts reported should be verified as much as possible under the circumstances.<br>Whenever possible, they should gather first-hand information; failing that, they should seek out witnesses.<br>\u2022 The cultural diversity of the country and the world must be reflected, for which programming will have to be plural, presenting diverse ways of thinking and providing a variety of content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CHAPTER VI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>NEWS COVERAGE OF VIOLENCE<br>\u2022 The media must condemn and reject violence motivated by organized crime, emphasize the negative impact it has on the population, and promote social awareness against violence.<br>\u2022 Avoid language and terminology used by criminals.<br>\u2022 Refrain from misusing legal terms that complicate the understanding of judicial processes against organized crime.<br>\u2022 When reporting on crimes, allegedly illegal acts, handle the information in such a way as to prevent criminals or alleged criminals from becoming victims or public heroes, as this helps them build a favorable image among the population, to become<br>tolerable their actions and even to be imitated.<br>\u2022 Omit and discard information that comes from criminal groups for purposes<br>propaganda.
