Youth Promoter Programs

CASA’s Youth Promoter model places at-risk youth in leadership positions to help themselves by helping others.

Promoters are trained in reproductive justice and health education, and apply their skills in schools, community centers and in the streets.

They use a variety of methods to teach community members including art, theater, radio, community health and educational workshops and campaigns.

Youth and adults alike have the opportunity to talk about myths and misconceptions around taboo subjects. Promoters are trained and supported by social workers and psychologists.
