They are spaces created within the homes of mothers who, with generosity and commitment, open their doors to share knowledge with their neighbors. Each home that becomes a Street Library becomes a haven of stories, a meeting place where reading awakens dreams, strengthens education, and unites the community.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-border-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-border-color has-background is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-6c531013 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-width:1px;background-color:#edf1ff\">\n<p>This effort was recognized in 2020, when we won the Iberbibliotecas Award thanks to our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted the importance of reading and community support in times of adversity. It&#039;s a beautiful testament to the impact Street Libraries have had on the community, not only as learning spaces, but also as agents of social change. What an inspiration!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile has-border-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-border-color has-background\" style=\"border-width:1px;background-color:#edf1ff\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>To ensure the success and impact of each library, we provide ongoing support to host families, training and educating them as community librarians. We support them throughout their journey, providing them with tools and strategies to energize the space, organize books, and foster a love of reading in their community.
