{"id":4849,"date":"2020-09-01T10:14:16","date_gmt":"2020-09-01T15:14:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/casa.org.mx\/?p=4849"},"modified":"2020-09-01T10:14:16","modified_gmt":"2020-09-01T15:14:16","slug":"parir-con-parteras-es-seguro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/casa.org.mx\/en\/parir-con-parteras-es-seguro\/","title":{"rendered":"Giving birth with midwives is safe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In August, 44 women gave birth at the Maternity Clinic and received care from the interdisciplinary team of traditional midwives, professional midwives, obstetric nurses and gynecologists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Maternity Clinic, healthcare professionals offer &quot;different&quot; childbirth care, as one of our clients described it after having previously given birth in two different public institutions.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#039;s true, here we don&#039;t give IVs to all women, nor do we open them up (episiotomy) so that the baby is born faster.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if we offer them the hospitality necessary to make the birth experience pleasant, the World Health Organization published its evidence-based recommendations for childbirth care in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Midwives adhere 100% to these and other recommendations to ensure that birth is as minimally intervened as possible and therefore has less chance of presenting a complication such as hemorrhage, labor dystocia or compilations with the baby at birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The care here is different, because above all we respect the human rights of the mother and her newborn, we respect privacy, we encourage support, the mother-baby bond from birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><\/ul><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In August, 44 women gave birth at the Maternity Clinic and received care from the interdisciplinary team of traditional midwives, professional midwives, obstetric nurses, and gynecologists.
