My name is Lesly Peréz. I had the opportunity to have a normal birth with the help of the midwife Gabriela Contreras. She supported me at all times throughout labor. I felt safe and had a beautiful experience that I shared with my husband. Thanks to the help of the midwife Gaby, my baby was born very well and there were no complications at birth. She is very kind and patient. She does her work with a lot of love and dedication.

Hello, good morning. My name is Brenda Patricia Calzonzin López. On April 18, I gave birth to my baby girl naturally, assisted by midwife Tania. On Thursday, I think April 16, we went to the midwives' house for a consultation and to arrange a home birth, which was expected for the last days of April. Midwife Tania cared for us from the very first moment. She was always very kind and respectful, and we liked how she treated us. She checked how my pregnancy was going and gave us suggestions for when labor began. Above all, she gave us a great sense of security and calm by telling us we could reach her at any hour of the day or night, and that she would be there for us. On Saturday my contractions started at one in the morning and grew a little stronger, so around three thirty I called Tania, and she answered very kindly. From that call on, she closely followed how my contractions were progressing. Her support by phone and WhatsApp calmed me and made me feel accompanied even though she wasn't there yet, because she asked me to keep her updated on the timing, length, and intensity of each contraction. Around four or five in the afternoon she told me she was on her way, because from what I was telling her she thought it wouldn't be long before I gave birth. It was a water birth. She arrived a little before seven, and they began setting everything up so I could get into the birth pool. The whole time they were attentive to me, suggesting exercises to help labor go as well as possible. They let me smell essential oils and lit candles, making the atmosphere very peaceful, familiar, and loving. That kind of support, feeling sheltered and hearing them say “you're doing well,” “you can do it,” “we're going to make it,” really encourages you in moments of so much pain and uncertainty. At one point I felt I couldn't go on, the pain was so strong, but Tania was always there, motivating me to give everything I could so my baby would be born well. Even now these feelings make me cry. Her support was wonderful, so human and so warm. I am very grateful to her and to her colleague, whose name I didn't catch, I'm sorry. For me they were my angels, and I thank them deeply for caring for me and my family so that my little girl can be with us today. My baby was born at 9:45 p.m., and Tania stayed with me until two or three in the morning without sleeping, watching over my medications and making sure I was okay. I told her to go rest, and she did, but after two in the morning she came back every hour to check on me. She made sure I stayed hydrated, brought me water and food, and the next day she was still checking on my baby. I would truly recommend them. The support they give is wonderful; they make you feel accompanied, and that gives you confidence that everything will be okay. Thank you so much, Tania, and thank you to your colleague. You will always be my angels from my baby girl's birth. Thank you.
